I have been working as an editor, creative producer, and photographer in Berlin and Cologne since 2017. After studying communication design in Berlin, I initially gained my experience in photography and passed on my knowledge in various workshops. At some point, I was drawn into the other spheres of design and began working as an editor and creative producer on moving image and film projects.
Well-known clients here include Frauenhauskoordinierung e.V, ZEIT ONLINE, Splash! Festival and Lollapalooza. My eye for the hidden and my interest in capturing the picture 'behind the scenes' led me more and more into the field of documentary work. What fascinates me about documentary is the authenticity – portraying people and their stories in an honest and approachable way, without a big filter. 'Real' and 'authentic' are key words in my work, but there’s an inherent ambivalence in this as well.
While I strive to capture reality, I also embrace the idea of transforming perspectives, shifting angles, and reordering visual narratives. New, often abstract realities emerge, and suddenly, unexpected layers of meaning unfold. This balance between what is 'real' and what can be imagined opens up new creative paths, constantly shifting the boundaries of perception.
For me, it’s crucial not just to execute projects but to develop processes that foster creativity and growth. I believe that every project should have the space to evolve, leading to new discoveries. My approach often involves reshuffling traditional categories and breaking away from fixed ideas of truth. It’s not about definitive answers but about expanding dimensions, creating a fresh order that allows for new interpretations and possibilities.
My thematic range is vast – from commercial work to film and music, from pop culture to political issues. I enjoy the diversity these fields offer, and no matter the topic, my work is guided by my core values. A strong moral compass and a clear ethical foundation are essential in everything I do. I seek to work on projects that are not only varied in subject matter but also grounded in a diverse and inclusive approach.
I love working with people and guiding them through the process. If you are unsure what you actually need, ask me, and together we will find out what suits you and your team or company best. I am a very curious and open-minded person, ready to support you with my experience! Just reach out to me :)
